~Encouragement...

Is greatly appreciated!!! My sister Kara has been very busy with her new business named Simplify. I have been having a lot of fun ,when I have time away from the farm, to help her and be a part of it. It is one of my new found hobbies. She has been encouraging myself to get back behind the sewing machine as long as it is for the fun of it!!!

 She is awesome and I am so excited what Kara and her husband Michael will bring out of this wonderful new adventure. I wish them much Success and God's Blessings!!!

Hello Everyone, 

 I have decided to close my website down. I will still be selling on Etsy and Artfire from time to time throughout the year under the same name. Reason being I just haven't the time so much anymore to keep up with it all to do it justice. With the economy as well it is more economical to downsize. I really enjoyed all of you customers in the past it was fun sellling to so many areas of the United States and Canada!!! Loved getting to meet you all...

and Happy Fall Harvest to you all!!!  We are gearing up for a crazy one this year due to the drought~ God's Blessings to you all!!!

My Sewing Machine....

Thinks I am a stranger!!! :P
This summer has flew by, 3 different fields of hay to bale for the sheep and with the drought we feel blessed to have them fields of hay. We have our oats combined and straw baled. Barns readied for winter~ So next is baling corn stalks and the 4th cutting of hay then field work which we are blessed to have a crop verses some areas... don't know how good it will be but we don't have to figure out what to do with it because it brunt up like some of these poor people are dealing with. I can't imagine how disappointing it would be... your in our prayers!!!
 Hard to sell sheep even when they are dropping them out West because of drought and having to dry lot them. Cattle also we have heard.

 I have a couple special orders to work on and hopefully get the old machine shed at farm and our garage cleaned out in between everything else.  Lots of other exciting events coming in the very near future!!! Stay tuned... ;) and God Bless!!!

Busy, Busy, Busy...

~Unbelieveably busy adjusting to all the changes in our family!!! Empty nesting, and getting used to our boys growing up and adults. So proud of them both with their new jobs and lives of independence which is in high demand for this family and a very long time coming!!! ;) Feels so good to watch them become adults and not be trapped into feeling beholding to no one~ Free to pick and choose for what their dreams and wishes are!!! It gives us great joy to see that happening for our childern and we love them dearly!!! ;)

Samuel's Graduation 2012

Our Samuel's Graduation 2012 ~So Proud of you!!! He already obtained his CDL when he turned 18 in Jan. and was working full time hours while finishing school!!! He plans to continue with his job at Protein Sources hauling feed and etc. Aug. 1st he will be officially full time with all the perks and helping his Dad and Mom farm. ;) Love you!!!

~ Marcella and Maggie's New Rugs...

I will be adding a New Category of Rag Rugs *Weaved and Crocheted Rag Rugs, *Rectangle, Oval, and Round Rag Rugs and I am working on some new Quilts as well~ So be watching in the next few months for it all to fill up!!! Beautiful colors~ with all New fabric cut with a pinking blade to keep from fraying!!! ;)

Almost done~

24 dumps off combine left we figured or about 6 loads left this morning when we started and combine broke down :( Well at least the sun is shinning on our faces!!! Gotta think of the positive~ Our bins are all full just have to bring up town the rest to the elevator... So it is getting closer to my cleaning , sewing and updating for the holidays !!! <3 I can't wait!!! ;) I've miss all of you!!!

~straw unloaded and off to getting barns ready for when the sheep come home this fall from the creek and bringing down 3 old buildings on the farm...

Almost ready for Marcella and Maggie's Art festival just a couple finishing touches and some kid fun for the day!!! Bubbles, Clown, face painting, balloon art, magic, and sawhorses with Buckskin, Dakota, Poky and Buckshot's saddles mounted on them for make believe fun!!! Oh if only the stories those saddles could tell~ ;)

Going to try combining oats again today and we did get all of our 2nd cutting of hay up!!! Phew~ Getting all ready for the Art festival in September as well and in between everything attending the Good Thunder Farmers/Crafts Market on Wednesday's from 4 to 8 pm!!!
