Flower pots and Windowboxes...

Fill them with mini pumpkins, gourds,

colorful leaves and bittersweet or grapevines... a quick & easy

fall decoration that's finished in minutes.

TREES
Trees are the kindest things I know,
they do no harm, they simply grow.
And spread a shade for sleepy cows, and gather birds among their boughs,
They give us fuit in leaves above, and wood to make our houses of,
and leaves to burn on halloween, and in the spring new buds of green.
They are the first when day's begun to touch the beams of morning sun,
they are the last to hold the light when evening changes into night.
And when a moon floats on the sky they hum a drowsy lullaby of sleepy children long ago...
Trees are the kindest things I know.

Fall Fun!!!

~On a crisp, sunny day take your family on a hike to the woods. Pick up colorful leaves, acorns, walnuts and bittersweet. Come home and string a fall garland to hang across the mantel or doorway.

There is something in the autumn

that is native to my blood~

Touch of manner, hint of mood,

And my heart is like a rhyme,

With the yellow and the purple

and the crimson keeping time.

~Serve up savory soups with leaf-shaped toast created by simply using a cookie cutter on toast slices.

~Or use a pumpkin or ghost-shaped cookie cutter to cut the center from a slice of cheese. After spooning soup into bowls, top servings with the cut-out shape or the cheese slice. How fun!
